Classic Deviled Eggs

These classic, deviled eggs are an easy appetizer to serve every holiday or event. Plus, an easy tip and shortcut for perfect hard-boiled eggs every time! You can make hard-boiled eggs in your oven? Did you know that? Yes, you can. I still use the traditional way of boiling eggs but if you're boiling a lot of eggs at one time this is great! My kids love hard boiled eggs, so I make then all the time. Just get a muffin pan and place the eggs in the pan. Turn your oven to 325 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • salt & ground black pepper
  • Finely chopped chives for garnish
  • paprika, for garnish
Instructions
  1. Place eggs in a large saucepan and cover with cold water. Set pan over medium-high heat and bring water to a boil. Turn off heat, cover pan with a lid, and let sit for 11 minutes. Drain, rinse eggs under cold water, and peel.
  2. Halve eggs lengthwise and scoop out yolks into a medium bowl. Add mayonnaise, hot sauce, and Dijon mustard to bowl, then mash yolks with the back of a fork and stir until mixture is smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spoon mixture into each egg. Garnish with chives and paprika and serve.
