They are the most delicious part of the zucchini plant. This recipe is an Italian tradition in my house. My kids and I can’t wait to go to the farm and pick the flowers off the zucchini plant to bring home and cook. For those of you who don’t know, you can eat both the male and female zucchini flowers however the male flowers are indeed better because the females will grow the fruit.
The best time of day to pick your flowers is early morning when the flower is open. You will find less bugs in them. Make sure you clean them well before cooking.

Its so satisfying to me when I place them on the table and see my entire families eyes light up with joy. They absolutly love eating them too.
The breadcrumb stuffing in between each leaf is so tasteful with the garlic and parsley. Sure it takes some work to make but its so enjoyable to eat.
This recipe is an old family recipe that my mom and grandmother made for almost every holiday. They turn out amazing every time.
