The Fourth of July is one of those fun middle of summer barbecues that people really enjoy! Swimming, games, tons of food, drinks, snacks, desserts and ending the night with sparklers and fireworks. Such a fun day and night for everyone.

What better way to make the 4th of July a huge success but to add to the patriotic theme. Decorations add a flair for the occasion and you can normally grab stuff cute stuff at the dollar store. Adding red, white and blue in your cooking whether its appetizers or desserts makes it even more festive. If you are going to a barbecue the fruit and chocolate platter is a cute and simple thing to make. Also, for me as you know am so into appetizers, so my go to recipe to take with me to someone’s house is so simple you will love (see below).

Another favorite of mine is to make a charcuterie board. These are so fun and if you haven’t tried it, do it! You can make one for every holiday and make it festive adding the right colors and decorations for it. I uploaded a fun 4th of July charcuterie board for you to try. What about an holiday appetizer? What is your favorite holiday appetizer? Fourth of July we are constantly eating throughout the day. So we like to serve many appetizers and side dishes for our guests and non-stop grilling!

Here are two of our favorite holiday appetizers to serve on 4th of July.
