Fall has always been my favorite time of year. I love pumpkins, the crisp leaves falling from the trees and so much more. Halloween is a favorite holiday in my house. The kids love to dress up and we all love to have a scary party with lots of fun foods and games. Making dips for parties is a great appetizer idea. This recipe for Jack O’ Lantern Chips And Dip is a fun holiday appetizer. My kids enjoy making this fun. Its so creative and yummy too. Our party guests enjoy this recipe and it makes a great centerpiece for any Halloween themed party.

    Ingredients for the GUACAMOLE

  • For the guacamole: Mash avocados with the lime juice. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • For the queso: In a pot over medium heat, melt 1 Tbsp. butter and sauté scallions. Add cheese, milk and cornstarch, and mix until melted and smooth. Add green chiles and mix until combined.
  • Serving: Carve or draw eyes and carve a sad mouth on a small pumpkin. Hollow out the inside and insert a bowl. Pour queso in the bowl and top with chopped tomatoes. Spoon guacamole coming out of the pumpkin’s mouth. Serve with chips! Or if you do not want to make the queso don't carve out the top of the pumpkin.
